Here you can find an overview and brief descriptions of Cowtec's range of shareware and freeware software. Our aim is to design useful products that are both functional and easy to use.
Currently Cowtec has three products available; Filedoyen, our free to try integrated file and archive manager and two freeware utilities, EyeDrives, a drive space info utility and Quifilt, a simple dual-pane file manager.
Filedoyen 1.4 : file and archive management
Filedoyen is designed to be an all-in-one file and archive management tool. The program will allow for the easy management, viewing and editing of files and archives and files from within archives. Some of Filedoyen's features include:
- Single or dual pane file manager.
- Manage many different archive types including ZIP, CAB and RAR etc.
- Single-click viewing of files within archives.
- Fast viewing and editing many different file types.
- View and edit HTML and display as source or in the built-in browser.
- Search anywhere on your computer, including within compressed archives.
- Get down to the raw data with the built-in hex editor.
- Compare files and folders and highlight the differences.

EyeDrives 4.0 : tracking drive space
EyeDrives is a useful tool for checking how much space various drive partitions (drives) have remaining. Features include showing drive information which can be viewed in the four different sizes of bytes, kilobytes, megabytes and gigabytes, calculating wasted space and memory usage and load.
This program is released as copyrighted freeware.
Quifilt 1.1 : file manager
Quifilt is an easy to use single or dual pane file manager with built-in image viewer and search tool. It is designed for ease of use and speed - just the thing if you need to quickly shuffle some files or folders around with a minimum of fuss!
This program was released in April 2006 as copyrighted freeware.
