January 21, 2009 - Filedoyen 1.5 released!

Version 1.5 of Filedoyen was today released. This is a significant update and features a number of improvements and new features. Details can be found below in the Filedoyen web site History section.

December 18, 2008 - Filedoyen 1.5 Beta Pictures

Work on Filedoyen 1.5 is progressing well with an expected release date of late next month (January 2009). There are some pictures of a late 1.5 beta available here.

September 23, 2008 - Next version.

The next version of Filedoyen is now under active development. It will include a new interface and numerous upgrades and enhancements. This will be a free update for all registered version 1* users. As further information becomes available you can read about it here or go to the Filedoyen website.

December 21, 2007 - Filedoyen 1.4 has been released...

Filedoyen 1.4 was released today. This version has a number of under the hood improvements and tweaks as well as general enhancements. More details can be found on the Filedoyen Web site History section.

September 17, 2007 - Filedoyen 1.4 being developed...

The next version of Filedoyen - 1.4 - is currently under development and is expected to become available for download in December. This version will include a number of enhancements as well as fixes and tweaks.

February 23, 2007 - Version 1.35 (maintenance release) of Filedoyen available.

Version 1.35 of Filedoyen is now available. This release features some important bug fixes and tweaks. More details can be found on the Filedoyen Web site History section.

January 18, 2007 - Version 1.3 of Filedoyen is now ready

Version 1.3 of Filedoyen was released today and is available for download. New features include a modified user interface, file and folder MRU menu items and collapsible toolbars and file manager tree panels.

January 12, 2007 - Price drop!

For a limited time, Filedoyen can be purchased for just US$24.95. That's nearly a 30% discount!

December 2, 2006 - Work on Filedoyen 1.3 started.

Development of version 1.3 of Filedoyen has started. This promises to be quite a big update with features such as interface changes, automatic RTF to text conversion, toolbar folding and MRU file and folder lists all scheduled for inclusion. This will be a free update for registered Filedoyen users.

December 1, 2006 - Filedoyen now has its own Web site.

Filedoyen, Cowtec's integrated file manager now has its own dedicated site. Please go to http://www.filedoyen.com to have a look.

The main Cowtec site (this site) will still have its Filedoyen section but the new site will give us the opportunity to add extra Filedoyen related content.

October 30, 2006 - Filedoyen 1.2 is now available.

Filedoyen 1.2 has been released and is available for download. New features include file and folder compare and the ability to open more many file types using IE extensions.

October 4, 2006 - Filedoyen 1.2 on the way.

Filedoyen 1.2 is currently under development and is expected before the end of October. New features will include file and folder compare and the ability to view more file types such as PDF. This will be a free update for registered Filedoyen users.

August 28, 2006 - Filedoyen Update.

Filedoyen 1.1 is now available for download. New features include an integrated hex editor, the ability to save searches and also search within archives, to minimize to the system tray and more configurations options.

August 4, 2006 - Work starts on Filedoyen 1.1.

Work has started on Filedoyen 1.1. New features scheduled for this update include a hex editor coupled to the file manager, expanded search capabilities for finding files within archives and more layout and configurations options.

This will be a free upgrade for registered Filedoyen users. Check back here for further updates.

July 19, 2006 - Filedoyen 1.0 released.

Filedoyen, Cowtec's premier software package has been released and is available for download.

The program features a file manager and zip manager coupled to an integrated syntax highlighting text editor, an image viewer and file and text search tool.

April 22, 2006 - Quifilt 1.1 available!

The first public release of Quifilt, Cowtec's freeware dual pane file manager is now available for download.

It will take a few days or weeks before the program is available from the major download sites but for now it is available directly from Cowtec.

March 31, 2006 - Quifilt nearly ready.

Quifilt, Cowtec's freeware dual pane file manager is nearing completion. Most of the actual program is up and running and is testing out ok.

There a few final tweaks to sort out and the help file and other documentation to finish and then version 1 will be ready for distribution. As soon as it's ready, you'll hear about it here!

February 6, 2006 - New version of EyeDrives.

EyeDrives, our popular drive-space tool has been undated to version 4.0 and released today.

This version is the first to be released under the Cowtec moniker and has a number of new features and updates. Details can be found here.

Just as with all earlier versions and with all future versions, EyeDrives is still free - we hope you will find it useful.

February 6, 2006 - Cowtec site is up!

Today the Cowtec website was uploaded. There is still a lot of work to do so please be patient if there are any glitches. :-)

Cowtec is new but it grew out of SoftTalon where EyeDrives and Filedoyen's predecessor, HaLWorks, originated. For those who may be interested, you can find the SoftTalon site here: http://www.softtalon.com.

Once things have settled down here, new features and improvements will be added to the Cowtec site and new software will become available. Thank you for visiting!
